Intelligent thermal management not only protects control panels from midsummer heat, but also adapts to fluctuating temperatures, saving significant energy and generating less noise during everyday operation: Fandis has combined the performance of its range of DC roof fans with the new features of the Sensis IIoT control system to create an innovative solution for control panel thermal management.
Ventilation systems are tuned to meet requirements during maximum activation, i.e. when all internal components are operating simultaneously. However, these maximum operating conditions are very rarely reached during normal operation. The solution developed by Fandis therefore constantly adapts the fan speed to the real, instantaneous cooling demand. The performance is optimized according to the specific requirements of the control cabinet, ensuring adequate cooling with significant energy savings. In addition, noise generated by air movement is significantly reduced under normal working conditions far from maximum speed.
The centralized management in Sensis provides precise time synchronization between all thermal management parameters without having to resort to complex configurations. Sensis features temperature sensors inside the enclosure for continuous monitoring of temperature, humidity and ventilation quality, as well as protocols for remote monitoring. The Fandis thermal management device now has an algorithm that controls the operation of variable-speed fans. The new algorithm integrates with the TP19UD24xx and TP19UD48xx range of DC and variable speed roof fans for 24Vdc and 48Vdc power supplies respectively.
