Many machine failures are due to penetrating dirt, splash water or dust - and every cable entry is a potential target for this. icotek has specialized in this problem situation with its products and offers entry solutions for almost every task. For use in the food and pharmaceutical industries, icotek has now introduced the KEL-ER-BL cable entry strips in the signal color blue. The KEL-ER-BL is a separable cable entry for cables with and without connectors. Depending on the size, cables with a diameter of 1 to 16 mm (single grommets KT-BL 1 to KT-BL 15) or 16 to 35 mm (single grommets KT-BL 16 to KT-BL 34) can be inserted, sealed with IP65 and simultaneously strain-relieved according to DIN EN 62444. The cable grommets are automatically fixed in the frame during assembly. After complete assembly, the end cover is screwed on.
The KEL-ER-BL fits standard knockouts for 10-, 16- and 24-pole heavy-duty connectors. However, the breakout width can be up to 46 mm instead of 36 mm. This means that cables with larger assembled connectors can also be inserted. The size KEL-ER-BL-B is based on knockouts 46 x 46 mm (e.g. for controllers, meters).
The single-row cable entry KEL-ER-BL-E is characterized by its space-saving design and is therefore ideal for confined spaces and cables with flat connectors (e.g. Sub-D).
Due to the injected seal and the use of single grommets, the KEL-ER-BL achieves protection class IP65. In case of a coarse structured or slightly uneven flange surface, the additional application of the blue flat gasket included in the scope of delivery is recommended.
