The CG/MG enclosure series for industrial connectors from Ilme is designed for harsh environments and is waterproof to IP66/IP68/IP69. Connectors are potentially exposed to contamination, weathering and mechanical shocks in situations where cables are left unplugged for long periods of time. Harsh environments and applications always require a high level of protection and resistance of the components. The CG/MG enclosure series meets these requirements by combining technical aspects such as versatile sealing to IP66/IP68/IP69 and compliance with EMC standards. The CGC...G metal enclosure has now been introduced as an extension to this product range. The new covers, which have been specially developed for screw-type enclosures and complement existing covers for CG/MG enclosures, fit all sizes from "44.27" to "104.27" and are characterized by high strength thanks to the cast aluminium alloy. They feature a corrosion-resistant epoxy powder coating in black, an O-ring seal around the mating contact and captive stainless steel nuts for a solid seal.
The CGC...G caps are fitted with a strong stainless steel cord that ends in a loop: Hanging around the cable, it allows the attachment of covers that provide continuous protection of the plug installed inside once they are closed.
