Schmersal launches four new switches on the market

Electromechanical safety switches offer greater reliability than mechanical switches. K.A. Schmersal GmbH & Co. KG presented four new electromechanical safety switches with separate actuators at the SPS, which can also be mounted very flexibly: The AZ215/AZ216 and AZ315/AZ316 switches take over the position monitoring of laterally sliding or hinged safety gates. Their distinguishing feature is the rotating actuator head made of die-cast zinc, which can be easily rotated in 90° steps before installation. This allows the head to be approached from the side from four different directions as well as from above. Thanks to these various approach positions and the combination options with different actuators, the AZ series is very flexible in terms of installation and offers the user universal application options. The designer can use the AZ switches for both right-hand and left-hand versions on swing or sliding doors.

The switch housings in plastic or metal versions have a compact design and can be easily integrated into the surrounding structure. In addition to the standard variant with M20 cable entry and connection terminals, variants with a 4-pin or 8-pin M12 plug are available, depending on the number of contacts. The 45° rotated connection terminals of the switching elements enable quick and easy wiring.

The video provides an overview of Schmersal's presentation at the SPS and the Euroconnecotrs-Team will be happy to answer any questions about electromechanical safety switches.
