Flexlock locking system from Provertha

Flexible locking at device interfaces

PROVERTHA presented the Flexlock 247 locking system for D-Sub full metal hoods at SPS - Smart Production Solutions. The new 247 series with angled cable outlet (45°) complements the Flexlock 217 series with straight cable outlet (180°). For the first time in a D-Sub hood series, users can freely choose between several different locking types according to the application requirements. The dual locking system offers both the classic screw lock with knurled screw, combination slot and Allen key and the Quick-Lock Push-Pull quick lock. There are also additional locking options: the slide lock and a lock with insert nut for cable-to-cable connections. With the new Flexlock hoods, Provertha offers users a D-Sub system for flexible locking at device interfaces and for "flying" cables or cable connections. The die-cast zinc housing is designed for harsh conditions in industrial automation and control cabinet construction at temperatures between -55 °C and 90 °C.

With the Quick Lock locking system, shock- and vibration-resistant D-Sub fastenings in accordance with EN 61373, category 2, can be carried out in seconds using one-handed operation without any auxiliary tools. Secure latching is guaranteed by the acoustic and tactile feedback. Compared to conventional screw and slide latches, installation can therefore be carried out much more quickly. Existing D-Sub device interfaces can be easily retrofitted with inexpensive locking pin sets so that they support Quick Lock. A wide range of locking pin versions are available for this purpose.
